Choose the audio scope

From macOS 14.2, choose no applications, all applications or a specific set. Saved groups let you reuse a selection. The microphone is configured separately.

  1. Open audio options in recording preparation.
  2. Select the mode and, when applicable, the applications that should be audible.
  3. Play sound in a selected application and verify the result with a short capture.

On macOS 14.0 and 14.1

These versions use the audio associated with the capture filter. The interface identifies this limitation: scope depends on the capture and is not equivalent to independent application selection available from 14.2.

If a source is missing

Check the selection, whether the application is actually playing audio and whether it is muted. When saving, Screengaze distinguishes a source without samples from a valid silent track and may show a warning while preserving video.

Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
