Choose a display
- Open preparation and select full-display mode.
- Choose a display from the list. Dimensions describe its framebuffer pixels, not just the logical desktop size.
- Configure the camera, microphone and application audio before starting the countdown.
Capture resolution and frame rate
You can capture at 30 or 60 fps. New display and area recordings use the display pixel scale to retain Retina detail. Capture has a technical maximum of 3840 pixels on the longer side and uses even dimensions.
Preview quality and export resolution are separate settings. Increasing either cannot recover detail absent from the original.
Prepare your desktop
Recording settings can hide desktop icons using a temporary helper. This cleanup is incompatible with the macOS session picker alternative. Review the display before recording to choose which content to include.
Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
