Choose playback resolution without changing originals or export settings.

720p, 1080p or 4K
The preview header lets you choose 720p, 1080p or 4K. The initial setting is 1080p and is remembered as a local Mac preference outside the project.
The playback surface keeps the canvas aspect ratio. The choice sets playback render pixels, not original-file resolution.
Performance mode
Performance mode reduces load during playback and restores quality when paused. Use it to review edits with multiple layers or effects, then pause to inspect frame detail.
Check output separately
Changing playback quality does not change the export recipe or capture. If exported output differs from expectations, check aspect ratio, resolution and account-mode limits in export settings.
