Work with segments

  1. Place the playhead at the edit point. Space plays or pauses; left and right arrows step through frames.
  2. Split with ⌘B. Select the segment and use the controls to trim, duplicate or change its speed.
  3. Check the join by playing a few seconds before and after. Undo with ⌘Z to restore the previous state.

Multiple selection and snapping

⌘-click toggles an item and ⇧-click selects a range. ⌘A selects items in the focused track. Duplicate and delete operate on the selected batch.

Temporal snapping helps align edges. Hold Option during a gesture to suspend snapping. Dragging the body of selected zooms moves them as a group.

Set the pace with the keyboard

J, K and L control reverse playback, pause and forward playback. Q trims before the playhead and W after it when the selection and context allow the operation. Text fields and dialogs keep their normal key behavior.

Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
