Before you start
You need an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. The app is in validation and a public installer is not available yet. This guide describes the implemented Mac app controls.
Prepare your take
- Open recording preparation and choose a full display, window or area. Choosing a mode does not start capturing.
- Select a camera and microphone if needed. Check the microphone level meter before starting.
- Choose application audio and a 0, 3 or 5 second countdown. Grant the permissions requested by macOS.
Record and stop
Start recording and perform a short action. The floating toolbar lets you pause, resume and stop. Paused time is excluded from the take. Stopping saves the recording so you can continue in the editor.
Edit and export
- Play the take with Space. Position the playhead and use ⌘B to split a segment; always keep part of the video.
- Adjust the canvas, review zooms and listen to the audio. Save the project with ⌘S so you can continue later.
- Open MP4 export with ⇧⌘E, choose settings and then a destination. Free mode exports up to 3 minutes at a maximum of 720p with a watermark.
Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
