Captions and local transcription
Transcribe on your Mac, review the text and adjust how it appears in the video.
Choose an engine and language
- In Texto, open “Transcribir en este Mac…” and choose the audio source and language.
- Use Apple Speech if on-device recognition is available for that language. For Spanish, you can choose local multilingual Whisper and a compatible model.
- With Whisper, download or import Base or Small using model controls. Downloading a model needs a connection; recognition processes audio locally.
Review before applying
Transcription is presented for review and can be cancelled. Correct words, search text and add or remove captions in the inspector. You can also import and export SRT.
Recognition timing can be approximate. When reliable word alignment is absent, this is indicated and the section does not receive fabricated word-by-word animation.
Adjust the style
Controls include appearance, placement, highlighting and word animation when valid timings exist. “Colocar en la vista previa” lets you position captions on the canvas. Captions stay on the canvas when screen perspective is applied.
Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
