Record an area

Define a desktop region before you start capturing.

Draw the region

  1. Select area mode in preparation. Drag on the desktop to create a region.
  2. Move the selection or adjust its eight handles. You can choose an aspect ratio or source-pixel dimensions.
  3. Confirm with Return. Escape returns to preparation without starting a recording.

Choose capture framing

Leave room for menus, panels or movements you need to show. A fixed area includes only what stays within that region. Use window mode to follow a moving window.

Capture area and editor crop

The region determines which pixels are recorded. Canvas cropping is applied later, non-destructively, to the saved original. The editor cannot recover content outside the capture region.

Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
