Controls and markers
Pause a take, mark an important moment or recover controls during a recording.

The recording toolbar
- Stop finishes the take and preserves footage for editing.
- Pause and resume exclude paused time from the track clock.
- Restart and discard affect the current take; review the action before confirming it.
- The meter lets you check microphone input during the take too.
Mark a moment for later
Use “Marcar momento” to save a time reference while recording. The ⌘⇧M shortcut appears when available. Markers help locate an action when reviewing footage; they are not visible annotations overlaid on the video.
If controls are hidden
Open Screengaze's menu-bar menu to recover recording actions. With the “Elegir con macOS…” alternative, floating controls are hidden by default and showing the editor pauses capture. Resuming hides the editor again.
Control names in quotation marks match the current Spanish app interface; English explanations describe the same controls.
